Tire tracks in this week's snow signaled how many disappointed customers have been turned away by locked doors during the high-volume holiday season.
The store owner posted updates on closing out sales during the fall at this web site.
Reached at his business phone number on Thursday, Thomas Chenet, the operator of Berlin Imports, said, "Everything is up in the air. We're still looking."
Chenet said Berlin Imports opened in 1975 and that the building was purchased by an electrical contractor.
"Presently nothing is happening. (We) have some feelers out there looking,'' Chenet said.
Chenet added that he'll "be making a decision after the holidays."
The building's landlord reportedly died and the family put the property up for sale, according to a neighboring business owner.
