White Plains Hospital Hires Finance Expert Ho As CFO

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains Hospital recently named finance guru David Ho as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

In his new role, Ho will lead and oversee all financial operations of the community hospital and its satellite facilities.

Ho’s career spans more than 30 years in managing and overseeing the financial operations of large health care institutions.

He comes to White Plains Hospital from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he served as chief financial officer for hospital finance for the past two years. Before that, he was the associate vice dean of finance and chief financial officer at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Ho also spent 12 years at the University of Chicago Medical Center, as vice president for finance, and 14 years at NYU Medical Center in various financial planning positions.

Ho received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cornell University and an MBA in health care management from Baruch College and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

He later completed a certificate program in business management and leadership at the University Of Chicago Booth School of Business. He began his career as a revenue analyst at the New York City Office of Management and Budget in the early 1980s.
