GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Bicycle Sundays resumes this weekend as a section of the Bronx River Parkway will be closed to vehicle traffic.
The Sunday event allows bicyclists, joggers, walkers, skaters and non-motorized scooters to use the stretch of parkway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The course runs from the Westchester County Center in White Plains, south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers, a round-trip of 13.1 miles. There are many points of entry and exit along the way.
Parking is available at the County Center lot in White Plains for a fee of $5.
Following Sunday, Sept. 8, there will be three more Bicycle Sundays held this fall: Sept. 15, 22 and 29.
Bicycle Sundays, sponsored by Con Edison and Friends of Westchester County Parks, is presented by Westchester County Parks. Additional support is provided by 100.7 WHUD radio.
