ELMSFORD, N.Y. — Enjoy an evening of food, drinks and music Monday when the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company of Elmsford hosts a benefit for a community seniors program.
All proceeds from the "A Lift for What Ales You" benefit will support Phelps Memorial Hospital's Vitality Initiative for Seniors, which brings health and wellness programs to seniors in the community. Four local restaurants are donating food, and Captain Lawrence will provide the evening's drinks.
Participating restaurants include Sam's of Gedney Way in White Plains, Cedar Street Grill of Dobbs Ferry, Butterfield 8 of White Plains and Chef Johnson. There will also be a live band and an auction.
Marissa Coratti, manager of special events at Phelps Memorial Hospital, said the Elmsford brewery was chosen for its popularity among locals.
"They're a very well-known establishment around here, and a lot of our employees like to go there," Coratti said. "They were very willing to work with us."
The benefit will be a fun way to contribute to a program that helps Westchester County residents in need, Coratti added.
"It's a good way to show your support for your local community and your local hospital," she said. "It's just a really nice time."
Admission is 90 in advance, or $100 at the door. To register, visit to the hospital's website or call Coratti at 914-366-3104.
