The host is Elliot Forrest of WQXR. In addition to Brooks, other Castle Conversations speakers this year are: Steve Wozniak (April 5), co-founder Apple Computer, Inc. with Steve Jobs in 1976; Twyla Tharp (Sept. 20), founder of Twyla Tharp Dance company and Tony and Emmy award winner, and Danny Meyer (Nov. 29), chief executive officer of Union Square Hospitality Group, whose restaurants and chefs have earned an unprecedented 25 James Beard Awards.

Brooks is the author of several books, including his newest one "The Road to Character," which explains why selflessness leads to greater success. A previous book, "Bobos in Paradise," was a New York Times bestseller.

“No other forum like this exists in Westchester and Fairfield counties,” said Jon C. Strauss, president of Manhattanville College. “We want the speakers to stimulate discussions about the radically changing world in which we live. It is our way of reaching out to the community, building relationships, and sharing with our neighbors the ideas of the brightest minds in America.”

For more information about how to purchase tickets to Castle Conversations, which begin at 8 p.m., call 914-323-1277 or visit the website. Subscriptions for all four talks start at $250. Individual talks are $75.
