Greenburgh Gets Set For Spooktoberfest

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Town of Greenburgh Department of Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Spooktoberfest family event on Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon- 4:30 p.m (rain or shine) at the Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve in Hartsdale.

Spooktoberfest is the ideal family-oriented event where children can get their faces professionally painted, climb on the inflatable slide and obstacle course, take a hayride through the woods, visit with the animals from the Greenburgh Nature Center and be entertained by musicians, clowns and jugglers.

Come dressed as your favorite superhero and be a part of David Engel’s “Superhero Training Academy." A new addition for 2015 will be The Great Charlini, a magician who has performed at local schools and camps.

Here is the full entertainment schedule for the event:

  • DJ Jess: noon – 4:30 p.m.
  • Greetings from Anywhere, band: 1-3 p.m.
  • Confetti Clowns: 12:30 -1 p.m.
  • The Great Charlini, magician: 1:15- 2 p.m.
  • Jennie Berkson, musical entertainer: 2:15 – 2:45 p.m.
  • Ned Gelfars, comedy juggler: 3 – 3:30 p.m.
  • "Superhero Training Academy” featuring David Engel: 3:30 -4:15 p.m.

Tickets are only $6 per person, and admission is free for children under the age of two.

Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve is at 156 Ridge Road, Hartsdale.

All parking and ticket sales for this event will be at Ridge Road Park, which is directly across from the Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve. Shuttle buses will be available to the event.
