Greenburgh Nature Center To Host Maple Sugaring Party

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh Nature Center will be hosting its end-of-winter maple sugaring party on Sunday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Nature Center is located at 99 Dromore Road, off Central Park Avenue, Scarsdale.

The party will be held to celebrate the end of winter and the peak of the maple sugaring season when warm, daytime temperatures stimulate the sap to flow. 

Featured events include demonstrations of sap collecting, depictions of Native American and Colonial style sugaring sites, candy and porridge making and crafts. Refreshments provided by California Pizza Kitchen are available for purchase.

For discounted rate, register and prepay online by Saturday, March 8.

Early-registration rates: Members $5; Non-members $10. Day-of-event rates: Members $7; Non-members $12 per-person.

The event will take place rain or shine. Parking is free, and handicapped parking is available.
