WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Greenburgh Nature Center is hosting a toy drive in cooperation with the Open Door Foundation.
The Open Door Foundation distributes toys to children from families of less fortunate means, who are patients of Open Door Family Medical Centers, to ensure that each child receives a brand new toy this holiday season.
Donate a new, unwrapped toy (value $10-$20) for children ages newborn to 14-years-old and drop it off at the Greenburgh Nature Center any time the Manor House is open during the drive, which runs through Dec. 10
Toy Ideas: baby toys, stroller toys, dolls, superheroes, Duplo & Lego building blocks, toy cars, toy trains, crafts sets, Play-Doh sets, sporting goods, iTunes cards, gift cards for Old Navy, Kohl's and Modell's.
The Open Door Family Medical Centers are in Ossining, Sleepy Hollow, Port Chester, Mount Kisco and Brewster, plus five school-based health centers in the Port Chester public schools, a school-based health center in Ossining High School and a mobile dental van in Mount Open Door serves more than 49,000 Westchester residents, many who live at or below the federal poverty line.
