Greenburgh Offers Spring Events, Programs For Seniors

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Parks and Recreation Department will offer the following programs for senior citizens this spring at the multipurpose center at Anthony F. Veteran Park:

Zumba Gold 1 for Seniors: Tuesdays – 10 sessions. Time: noon-12:45 p.m. Dates: Tuesday, April 21 to Tuesday, June 23. Fee: $40 for residents, $60 for non-residents.

Zumba Gold 2 for Seniors: Fridays – 10 sessions, Time: 11-11:45 a.m. Dates: Friday, April 24 to Friday, June 26. Fee: $40 for residents $60 for nonresidents. 

Zumba Gold Adult Evening Class: Mondays -- eight weeks. Time: 5:30-6:15 p.m. Dates: Monday, April 27 to Monday, June 22 (No class May 25) Fee: $60 for residents, $75 for nonresidents.

Outdoor Tennis Clinic for Seniors: Tuesdays, April 21 to Tuesday, May 26. Time: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Anthony Veteran Park. Tennis courts fee: $20 for residents, $25 for nonresidents. Equipment provided.

’60s Jukebox Hits: Music listening and learning discussion and PowerPoint presentations about music from the '60s: the musicians, the lyrics, the musicians, and the socio-political events surrounding the lyrics. Thursdays: April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 14. Time: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Fee: $25.

Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve Nature Walk: Guided tour of the Hart’s Brook Preserve’s Barn and Greenhouse. Guided walk along the trails and pond. See what’s blooming. Great family event for all ages.The event will be held Saturday, May 2. Rain date: Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m. The program is free, and advanced registration is preferred. Call 914-693-8985, ext. 116, to register. No Unicard required. Registration is now open at the multipurpose center.
