Greenburgh Public Library Sponsors Book Clubs For Community

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Public Library will be hosting a variety of book discussion groups and events for October.

Here is a rundown:

Blue Chip Book Discussion Group: Teresa Walsh is the facilitator of the Blue Chip Book Discussion Group. The group kicks off their Fall Reading season with the fabulous selection of All our Worldy Goods by Irène Némirovsky. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Free and open to all. Thursday, Oct. 2, 11 a.m. For more information, call 914-721-8225.

Convivial Book Discussion Group: A monthly shared discussion of great reads. The group meets the second Wednesday of the month and is facilitated by different members. October selection: "And The Mountains Echoed" by Khaled Hosseini. A profound novel tells the story of a brother torn from his beloved sister that sets off a group of interlocking stories. Guys Read: Join the Book Discussion Group just for guys in Grades 6-12. This month's selection: "A Really Awesome Mess" by Trish Cook and Brendan Halpin. No registration required. Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Teen Talk: Join in the discussion for Teens run by Teen volunteers about Beauty Queens by Libba Bray. Copies of the book available at the Library's Circulation Desk. No registration required. Saturday, Oct. 11, 3 p.m.
