Greenburgh's Annual Breakfast With Santa Is Saturday

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Not only is Anthony F. Veteran Park much closer than the North Pole, but Greenburgh children can eat a pancake breakfast there before telling Santa what they want for Christmas this year.

Tickets are available for the Breakfast with Santa event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the park's Multipurpose Center, put together by the Greenburgh Parks and Recreation Department.

Children will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with Santa and make a holiday craft. All proceeds will go to the Hartsdale Rotary Club, which will donate the money to purchase audio-visual equipment for Greenburgh senior citizen programs.

Recreation Supervisor P.J. Murphy said the event sold out last year with hundreds who attended, and she is excited that Greenburgh families are taking advantage of the event.

"It's a really perfect thing for families and it's a great thing to have around this time of year," she said.

Signup is still available at the Anthony F. Veteran Park registration office, 11 Olympic Lane, Ardsley. Advance tickets must be purchased by 4 p.m. Friday and are $3 for children and $5 for adults. Prices will increase to $7 per person at the door if tickets are still available.
