HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- A salute to the traditions of Ireland will take place during the Irish Heritage Day celebration from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Ridge Road County Park in Hartsdale.
Admission is $5 per adult. Children under 14 are admitted free. Parking is free.
The day’s entertainment will include a bagpipes band, the Tara Gold Band, the McLean Avenue Band, musician Jimmy Walsh, and students from the Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dance.
Vendors will have food and arts and crafts for sale. Children's activities will include games, face painting by Noelle Clancy, and Westchester County’s own Fit-Mobile.
Seating is informal so bring blankets or chairs for seating on the lawn. The festival will be held rain or shine. No coolers will be allowed.
The event is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the American-Irish Association of Westchester County.
