Hastings Hosts 'Lights Festival' On The Palisades Saturday

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The village of Hastings-on-Hudson will host its annual "Lights Festival" Saturday from 7-10 p.m. with a laser light show splashed across the Palisades along the Hudson River waterfront at MacEachron Park.

Produced by the Hastings Phoenix Foundation in association with the Hastings Chamber of Commerce, Hastings Alumni Association, and Hastings Friday Night Live, the "Lights Festival" celebrates the Hudson River with food, music and lights, culminating in a laser show projected from the village onto the Palisades.

The Hastings Alumni Association website is selling "Light on the Rocks" personalized messages at $20 (one sentence) or $35 (two sentences) to help keep the event otherwise free. Message suggestions include wedding proposals and happy birthdays.

To purchase a "Light on the Rocks-Hastings Light Festival Laser Message", log on to the Hastings Alumni Association website.

The "Laser Light Show" will be provided by Marc Arotsky of CT. Lasers. Music will be provided by Joe Rooney of Rooney Tunes Entertainment.

There will be no parking at the MacEachron Park site on River Street. Parking is available at the nearby Zinsser Parking Lot (train Station) from where shuttle buses will tra to the waterfront.

In the event of rain, the Festival will be held Sunday.
