"We applaud the faculty and staff of the Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School for embracing digital citizenship as an important part of their students' education," said Rebecca Randall, vice president of education programs for Common Sense Education. "The school deserves high praise for giving its students the foundational skills they need to compete and succeed in the 21st-century workplace and participate ethically in society at large."

Computer Skills teachers Clare McMorris and Sue Straub educated students in the use of digital media to learn, explore, connect and create. They also informed students of the dangers of the online world, such as plagiarism, cyberbullying and loss of privacy.
