Jersey Shore Child Seriously Hurt Sledding

An 11-year-old child was seriously hurt on Sunday night when his sled crashed in Ocean County, authorities said.

The child struck his head after falling off about 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Riptide Avenue in Stafford Township, according to initial reports.

An unconfirmed report said that the child was taken by life flight to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
