City resident Quincy Johnson, 46, was arrested nearly three months to the day after a 35-year-old man was shot in the middle of the day in the Eastern District, authorities announced.

Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called at 2:20 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2023 to the 3900 block of Erdman Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was taken by paramedics to an area hospital for treatment of his injury.

The investigation led detectives to identify Johnson as a suspect, and on Wednesday, Feb. 7, members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force and Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested him.

Johnson was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
