Former Brunswick Star Shines at New Hampshire

GREENWICH, Conn. – Former Brunswick star Kevin Decker completed his season with a solid performance for the University of New Hampshire in a 26-25 loss to Montana State in the second round of the NCAA Division 1 FCS playoffs.

Decker, a senior from Armonk, N.Y., threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Justin Mello with six seconds left to bring the Wildcats within a point. New Hampshire missed the extra point and seventh-ranked Montana State advanced to the quarterfinals.

Decker completed  18-of-30 passes for 200 yards. He had two touchdowns and an interception.

In his first year as a starter, Decker completed 69 percent of his passes for 3,272 yards with 22 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He was named the Colonial Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year.
