Native plant specialists will be on hand at the center to help gardeners find the perfect plants and answer questions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“The event is more than a plant sale,” said Carol Capobianco, director of the Native Plant Center at Westchester Community College. “As you shop, speak with our knowledgeable staff and volunteers and learn about how the plants grow and the wildlife they attract. Seeing the plants in person will help you picture them in your own garden.”
Some of the available plants include the center's 2013 favorites: the Allegheny serviceberry and the broad-leaved mountain mint.
Parking is available in the Westchester Community College Lot No. 1. Visitors should enter through the East Grasslands entrance.
