Saturday, Jan. 5 Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Basketball Challenge : 11 a.m. Support local girls' high school basketball and breast cancer awareness at this annual cancer fund-raiser. The event features four local high school games, Woodlands athletic wear, cancer awareness T-shirts and food, with 10 percent of proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Woodlands High School gymnasium. 475 W. Hartsdale Ave., Hartsdale.

Meet the Animals : 11 a.m. Visit the Greenburgh Nature Center for an hour of fun as a naturalist shows families some of his favorite animals. 99 Dromore Road, Edgemont.

Jack Hanna and Animal Friends : 3 p.m.  Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo, will hold a stage show featuring live animals ranging from insects to large mammals. The show will also include video clips and bloops from Hanna's television shows. Tarrytown Music Hall. 13 Main Street, Tarrytown.
