A few things to remember on the Fourth of July (from the village): Many want to drive cars to Waterfront Park, but we do want to encourage as many residents as possible to walk, if you can. It is a great way to get exercise, it will cut down on traffic, and it is better for the environment. If you plan to drive please remember to have the required Commuter Parking or Recreation Pass for your vehicle; you can purchase a one-day Recreation Pass at Village Hall. No vehicles will be allowed access to the park without a commuter parking or recreation pass. Once the lot is filled it will be closed to traffic. Parking will not be permitted on High Street or Station Plaza.

Thursday, July 5

Antenna Review Board : 7 p.m. The board will review advancements in antenna technology, monitor zoning code compliance with Federal Communications Commission rulings, offer recommendations to the Town Board regarding  amendments and enforcement, and offer recommendations on special permit and variance applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals or the Town Board as to the siting of antennas and antenna support structures and the aesthetic considerations. Lee F. Jackson Room, Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave.

"The Music Man": Thursday is opening night of this hit musical. When fast-talking Harold Hill comes marching into town, you know there’s going to be trouble right here in River City. His goal is to con the good townspeople out of their money, but Marian the Librarian has other plans. This wonderful slice of Americana will leave your entire family humming such familiar tunes as “Seventy-Six Trombones, “Gary, Indiana” and “Till There Was You.” The show will continue through July 29. Westchester Broadway Theatre, 1 Broadway Plaza, Elmsford.

"Lydia": 7 p.m. Reader's Theater's latest project is a crafting of a mature story about a Mexican family that can be reflected in so many of our homes. The novellas of our day told with compassion, maturation and a savoir faire skill set. Enjoy a night of theater with Reader's Theater. Woodlands High School, 475 W. Hartsdale Ave., Hartsdale.
