IRVINGTON, N.Y. - Sunlight and a cloudless blue sky covered Irvington High School graduates Saturday morning as the group gathered one final time as classmates.
With the Hudson River in the background, dozens of friends and family sat on folding chairs in Matthiessen Park to watch the class of 2012 accept their diplomas and close the door on another chapter in their lives. Applause, cheers, laughter and the occasional tear rang out through the park as the seniors listened to their teachers and classmate's final words of advice.
