Greenburgh Recreation Offers Tennis Lessons For Senior Citizens

GREENBURGH, Conn. – The Greenburgh Parks and Recreation Department will be offering an outdoor tennis clinic for senior citizens this fall.

The program allows participants to learn or just brush up on basic tennis skills, focusing on warm-up exercises, forehand and backhand strokes, serving and rallying.  Equipment will be provided, and little or no experience is required. There is a $20 fee for residents.

The six-week spring clinic is from 10:30-11:30 a.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 3 through Oct. 8 at Anthony F. Veteran Park, 11 Olympic Lane, Ardsley. The instructor is Janet Lefkowitz, tennis director.
