Vitality provides educational seminars, exercise opportunities and nutritional programs to help seniors live and age well. Vitality is also a resource to help older adults age-in-place safely, independently and comfortably.
One of the most popular Vitality programs is The Breakfast Club; a series of free breakfast meetings designed especially for seniors. Each program includes a free breakfast, a presentation on a healthy lifestyle topic and a light exercise program to improve strength and balance. It’s also a great opportunity for older adults to socialize with their peers.
On Nov.19, Vitality at Phelps and Senator Terrance Murphy’s office are sponsoring a senior wellness day. The day will focus on relaxation; promoting healing and wellness; and developing an awareness of how one’s diet can affect their health.
The event will be held at the Mount Pleasant Community Center in Valhalla from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
