Photos: Sights And Sounds At Take Me To The River Festival

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Bands filled the sunny late summer day with music and visitors strolled from interactive art exhibits to arts and crafts and food vendors at the 7th Annual Music & Arts Festival in Hastings Saturday.

Hundreds of music and art fanciers were entertained by several bands offering jazz, rock, rhythm and blues and alternative music, including local young musicians showing their skills. from the noon opening through 10 p.m. at Draper Park.

Children enjoyed interactive games, making bead accessories and getting henna body art as food vendors from Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Irvington served a variety of foods. Patrons sat on blankets and lawn chairs turning to hear music from two stages.

Created and produced by 12MilesNorth, the Take Me to the River Music & Arts Festival brings nationally-acclaimed music, unique art installations and activities and promotes environmental awareness with Practically Green, an eco-expo of area green groups and businesses.
