Not familiar with the HGTV series "Property Brothers"? No problem; here is a quick overview of Drew and Jonathan Scott's show "Property Brothers." The twin brothers help couples find, buy and convert severe fixer-uppers into the ultimate dream home. Drew is a seasoned real estate agent and Jonathan is a licensed contractor.

"Bringing the 'Property Brothers' to Weschester has been a very natural transition for our production," said associate producer Ken Seeback. "We’ve had fantastic support from our local contacts and are excited to have already begun filming just a few weeks ago. The area offers a wide variety of stunning dream homes and inspirational fixer uppers. We're having a great time in Westchester helping families realize their home's potential.”

"Property Brothers" will be filming in Westchester through August. They will be shooting the season in the tristate area. "These episodes are scheduled to air later on this year in the fall, on the W Network in Canada and on HGTV here in the states," said Julian Diaz, real estate researcher for the show.

"Westchester is an area full of history and charm," Diaz said. Many homes in the Westchester area date back to the 19th century. Although Westchester can be quiet and quaint it is still only 30 minutes from one of the largest cities in the world."

The show hired local contractors to take on the jobs. The brothers look to local experts for questions and details which are specific to the cities, towns, villages and hamlets in Westchester County.    The brothers also will be filming their other show, "Buying and Selling with The Property Brothers" in Westchester, more specifically Armonk, as well.
