Rivertowns' Community Sing Will Honor Pete Seeger's Memory

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The First Unitarian Society of Westchester will honor the late Pete Seeger by hosting a community sing on the last Sunday of every month beginning at 1 p.m.

Pete Seeger died in January at age 94.

Singers of all ages are invited to join and bring any acoustic instruments they feel appropriate.

Attendees are also welcome to bring music, though most songs will come from the songbook "Rise Up Singing."

The group is open to other songs as well, but ask for lyric sheets and chords to be provided.

First Unitarian Society of Westchester is at 25 Old Jackson Ave. in Hastings.
