HARTSDALE, N.Y. Betty M. Peter of Hartsdale died May 20 at home with family by her side. She was 80.
Peter was a retired teacher's assistant at Bailey School in Greenburgh. She was married to George Peter, who predeceased her in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, the arts and decorating.
She is survived by a son, Douglas (Michelle); a daughter, Melissa; three brothers, George (Annie), Christopher (Vicki) and Jason (Laurie); three grandchildren and her caregiver, Janet.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home in Scarsdale with a service at 8 p.m.
