IRVINGTON, N.Y. - James T. Cecere, a lifelong resident of Irvington, died Feb. 24. He was 74.
Cecere owned and operated Irvington Ceramic Tile for many years.
He was born in White Plains to the late Thomas and Anna Cecere. On Jan. 16, 1956, he married Marie Carol. Always a craftsman, he enjoyed maintaining and fixing his family home. Cecere had a passion for nature, especially the ocean, and owned a beach home in Wildwood Crest, N.J., which he would visit frequently.
Surviving are his wife Marie, his daughter Carol Ann (Eliseo) Munoz, his sons Thomas (Tammie) and James Cecere, his brother Charles Cecere, his sister Vivian DeFonce and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Church of St. Barnabas in Irvington. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry.
