Daniel Esposito, Tool and Die Maker, Dies at 84

HARTSDALE, N.Y. — Daniel Esposito, 84, of Hartsdale, died Wednesday, March 28. 

A tool and die maker for over 60 years, Esposito owned and operated Vernon Tool & Die, Elmsford Die Casting and D.S. Tool in Elmsford since 1966. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford. 

He was born Feb. 17, 1928, to Peter and Catherine Esposito. On April 30, 1950, he married Nancy Constabile. 

A resident of Hartsdale for the past 57 years. Esposito is remembered for his generosity, both of his time and resources, to his family, friends, community, church and various organizations. He was very patriotic, and his flags and flagpoles adorn many homes, building and lawns. 

Esposito was predeceased by Nancy, his wife of 60 years. He is survived by his children, Ellen (Fred), Daniel (Maria) and Janet (Frank); 12 grandchildren and his sister, Carol. 

The family will receive visitors at the Elmsford Chapel of Ballard-Durand Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
