The Dobbs Ferry duo will be joined by bassist Chris Conte and drummer Mike Gordon for an hour of old-time jazz, folk tunes and 60's rock. "There will be special guests and a few things that are just indescribable," Hawkey promises.  "It all fits together as part of SPUN - a musical story of American pop sensibilities." Hawkey, who is originally from Schenectady, studied at Fordham College at Lincoln Center and is the artistic coordinator at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah and a music director at the Play Group Theatre in White Plains. Gleizner studied jazz piano and music at Purchase College. "If the weather is nice, our plan is to grab some burgers and shakes and enjoy them in the lovely Madison Square Park," Hawkey said. "All are welcome. Just stick around after the show." Show time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and should last one hour. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available via the Metropolitan Room website. Tables may be reserved by calling 212-206-0440. For more on Hawkey and Gleizner and future performances, visit their website.
