Former Fairview FD Chief, Dubbioso Dies at 80

HARTSDALE, N.Y. - Dominick J. Dubbioso, of Hartsdale, died Dec. 14 at the age of 80.

He was born Apr. 9, 1931 in Flushing, N.Y. to the late Angelo and Lucy Dubbioso. He served in US Marines during the Korean Conflict. Dubbioso also owned and operated Dom's Getty Station in Greenburgh for several years as well as serving as former chief of the Fairview Fire Department.

He is survived by his brother John Dubbioso of Thornwood, his sister Jennie (Anthony) Menton-Grasso of Yorktown Heights and a brother-in-law. Dubbioso was predeceased by his wife Florene in 2010 and his brother Frank.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, followed by interment at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale.
