Former Greenburgh Librarian, Accordino Dies at 84

HARTSDALE, N.Y. - Nicolina "Lee" Accordino, of Hartsdale, died Dec. 28 at Schnemacher Nursing Home in White Plains. She was 84. 

She was born Jul. 18, 1927 in Bronx, N.Y. to Salvatore and Mary Mare Orzo. On Mar. 2, 1952, she married Fermo "Paul" Accordino at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx.  

Accordino worked as a librarian for the New York Public Library for 10 years and later for Woodlands High School in Greenburgh for 10 years before retiring in 1994. 

Surviving are her husband, her daughters Diane (Chris) Tucker, Suzanne Accordino and Beth (Michael) Galotta and a granddaughter.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Edwin L. Bennet Funeral Homes in Scarsdale. The funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale, followed by interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
