Hartsdale Native Profiled In New York Times

HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- Gino Filippone, a 53-year-old former tour guide, has two jobs which entail the same end result: getting his clients to say "I do," according to the New York Times.

Filippone is a real estate salesman for the Corcoran Group and a wedding planner for out-of-towners, although he does more than just plan the wedding. Filippone handles all of the small details, such as choosing the location and paperwork, but he also steps in to ensure that the wedding goes as planned, according to the New York Times.

Since he began his business, Ultimate USA Weddings, Filippone has been involved in over 2,000 weddings during the company's 15-year lifespan, reported the New York Times.

His wedding planning career stemmed from his days as a tour guide, where visiting folks would ask where they could tie the knot. Filippone, a Hartsdale native, currently lives in the Upper West Side with his partner, but hasn't staged his nuptials just yet, reported the New York Times.
