HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- Maria Luisa Pablo, of Hartsdale, died Feb. 2 at the age of 85.
She was born in Banes, Oriente, Cuba to Pedro and Caridad Pablo. In 1957, she immigrated to the United States alone. Pablo was employed as a beautician before working for the U.S. Postal service. She enjoyed sewing and going to the theater, museums and restaurants.
Pablo is survived by her daughters Maritza Bestenny, Marlene Pablo Arbeeny and Yamel Pablo Mandese, her sisters Reyna Butcher, Zaida Legra, Effie Montoya and Yamel Pablo, a grandson and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her brothers Aldo, Pedro and Navi Pablo.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
