Emily launched her baked goods business last August with the help of her father, Scott Cartwright, with proceeds from the sales going to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

"Emily raised $200 last year and hopes to raise $500 this time," Scott Cartwright said.

The young baker promises that everything will be homemade. Emily features blueberry mini-pies, chocolate pudding mini-pies, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla and chocolate cupcakes and fresh squeezed lemonade.

Emily's Sweetheart Stand is at 45 Hillside Ave., where she will sell her homemade treats Saturday, July 12, from 12:30-5:30 p.m.

Emily was treated successfully at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital and said she does her bake sale because she "wants to help the kids who aren't as lucky and need extra healing."

"Emily has loved baking since she was very young," Scott Cartwright said. "Emily set a goal and wanted to do the sale again. We'll be out there Saturday, and we'd love for people to come by and contribute."
