The Hartsdale chef and “Hell's Kitchen” contestant was told to take off his jacket during last week's show, but a cliffhanger leaves his fate unknown.

Ryan is a sous chef at the Hotel Beacon in New York City. He has previously worked at X20 in Yonkers. He's competing for a job as head chef at the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Season 11 of the Fox show. Viewers will find out Ryan's fate on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Last Tuesday's episode did not go well for Ryan, who was first shown to be “looking for answers” as the men's team prepared for dinner service.

Members from the men's team and the women's team acted as waiters during the service, as Chef Gordon Ramsay hoped to teach both teams how they affect others on the job. Ryan and a fellow contestant, Ray, butted heads during service at the fish station.

Ryan protested that Ray was not letting him do his job.

“I keep getting shut down,” he said during the show.

Ramsay chastised both teammates, yelling “Dumb and dumber: talk to your team!”

Both teams were sent home from dinner service and had to nominate two teammates, where Ryan and Ray again began arguing with each other when they were both nominated. Ryan's teammates noted the fish station “is what sunk the service.”

“I'm a team player,” Ryan told Ramsay. “I kept trying to support him.”

Ryan, along with three others were left without their jackets at the end of show's “To Be Continued” finale, leaving it unclear whether he remains a contestant.
