ELMSFORD, N.Y. – Josephine Pecora, 90, of Elmsford, died Sunday, April 22, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
She was born May 21, 1921, to Antonio and Magdalena Zito Varvaro in White Plains. She was married to John P. Pecora, who died in 2008.
Pecora is survived by two sons, John (Eunice) Pecora, of Brewster, N.Y., and Billy Pecora, of Lake Worth, Fla.; two daughters, Pamela Pecora, of Elmsford, and Rosalie (Louis) Higgins, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her companion, Matthew DeGregorio.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh. Hawthorne Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
