HARTSDALE, N.Y. – Mary "Mae" Mancuso of Hartsdale died April 27 surrounded by her family. She was 89.
She was born Mary Patricia Murray on May 30, 1922 in Verplanck to James and Sofia Murray. On Sept. 6, 1944, she married Sonny Mancuso. Married for 67 years, he predeceased her on April 11, 2012. Mancuso was a longtime communicant at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Elmsford.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Michael) Bowerman; two sons, Robert (Helene) Mancuso and John (Tricia) Mancuso; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home Elmsford Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
