IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Margaret "Peggy" Sordillo of East Irvington died May 20. She was 78.
She was born Nov. 25, 1933 in the Bronx, to Joseph and Margaret Doak. On Sept. 20, 1959, she married Clement Sordillo. She volunteered at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry for 10 years.
Sordillo is survived by three daughters, Carol (Rocco) DePalo, Joann (Richard) Seipel and Ellen Sordillo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband died in November of 2000.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wedneday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in Elmsford. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
