The reception included refreshments and music from Hartsdale resident Lowell Pollack, who plays piano for the Early Childhood Program in the Greenburgh Central 7 schools, and Hastings guitarist Caleb Flood Goldstick. They played tunes dating to the 1800s.

The board meeting featured historical retrospectives, a Hartsdale Cub Scout contingent of flag-bearers, a rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" by Asha Perry and presentations by mayors from neighboring town villages Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Tarrytown, Irvington, Ardsley and Elmsford.

Supervisor Paul Feiner and the Town Board members, attired in 18th-century clothing, administered the retro meeting, which included discussions on alcohol sales and ownership of a stray goat, supplied by the Greenburgh Nature Center.

Greenburgh was officially chartered on March 7, 1788, and Town Clerk Judith Beville, co-chairman of the Town of Greenburgh's 225th Celebration Planning Committee, helped bring the flavor of the time with the re-enactment.

Belville emceed the event as proclamations from Gov. Andrew Cuomo and local mayors were presented.

A photo exhibit was unveiled of all past Greenburgh town supervisors. It will be displayed in a main hallway at Greenburgh Town Hall.

Ardsley's Riviera Bakehouse supplied the anniversary cake, and Ardsley native Yon Yuh Zwiebon brought the costumes from Beyond Costumes, her Yonkers shop.

Sun Splash Bakery, Sam's Club, ShopeRite of Scarsdale and White Plains and Golden Krust Bakery donated the refreshments.
