TUCKAHOE, N.Y. - Frances E. Ferri, formerly of Tuckahoe, died on Oct. 25 at the age of 82.
Ferri, who retired to Hallandale Beach, Fla in 1991, was a former figure skating instructor at Playland in Rye and a ranked tennis player during her 40's.
Born in Tuckahoe on Mar. 17, 1929, she married Bob Ferri and raised five children there. She was instrumental to all five attending college and receiving their degrees. After divorcing in 1979, Ferri met her companion of 30 years, Carl Goodheart and they retired to Florida together.
Ferri is survived by a son, three daughters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will remain private.
