A Story Born During Your Reporter's Office Hours

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Our Sunday story was born during your town reporter’s Thursday office hours.

David Stovall, a Hartsdale resident, was frustrated by his ongoing fight to get the Town of Greenburgh’s permission to refurbish his house so that he could bring his ill father-in-law home.

Stovall saw the office-hours post on our website and went to the Greenburgh Public Library to talk to yours truly, reporter Luis Garcia. Stovall brought with him documents related to the application, drawings of his house and his father-in-law’s discharge papers. He wanted to tell his story.

“I just feel like it’s the right thing to do. I feel strong about it,” Stovall said during the hour-long conversation. holds office hours every Thursday, after posting the office hours' schedule on the site the day before. (Office hours are usually from noon to 1 p.m. at the Greenburgh Public Library.)

If you think you have a story worth telling, come stop by and talk. We will be very willing to listen.
