Ardsley Cross Road Bridge Closed For Inspection

ARDSLEY, N.Y. — The bridge over the Sprain Brook on Cross Road in Ardsley is closed pending an inspection to determine its structural integrity after damage caused by Tropical Storm Irene, according Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner.

In an email to the town, Feiner said the bridge links the Old Sprain Road to the Ardsley streets near its junction with Ardsley Road, but can be easily bypassed via Ashford Avenue.

Victor Carosi, Greenburgh's commissioner of public works, is hiring a contractor to inspect the bridge, Feiner said in the email.
