As a precaution, students at Anne M. Dorner Middle School and Claremont Elementary School are holding indoor recess Tuesday.

Ossining Police said it is not unusual for  wild animals to leave their normal area and enter residential neighborhoods in search of food. Police are asking residents to take a moment to secure bird feeders, trash cans, and anything else that might be a source of food for hungry animals.

A bear was seen on an alpaca farm in Yorktown where it was chased off by police last week. A bear has also been previously spotted at Peter Pratt's Inn in Yorktown.
