YONKERS, N.Y. -- Motorists using the Bronx River Parkway are likely to notice a little more congestion starting Monday around Yonkers.
Westchester County officials are notifying drivers that one southbound lane will be closed on the parkway weekdays between Palmer Road and Desmond Avenue in Yonkers.
The closure will go from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. from May 2-23, officials said. It is necessary for bridge joint replacement work by the state Department of Transportation, officials said.
One southbound lane will be closed at a time, starting with the left lane. Signs will be up alerting motorists.
