GREENBURGH, N.Y. - As the snow continues to melt three days after Saturday's nor'easter, many Greenburgh and Elmsford homes are still without power.
Con Edison's latest statistics, as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, show that 125 customers in Elmsford are still in the dark, while roughly 2,600 customers in the Town of Greenburgh have no electricity, said D. Joy Faber of Con Edison.
Con Edison said that it has increased its manpower, bringing in out-of-state workers to lessen the storm's impact and bring customers back on line as quickly as possible. All customers are expected to regain their power before Wednesday's end.
Dry ice will be distributed Tuesday until 7 p.m. at the Midway Shopping Center, located at 955 Central Park Ave. in Edgemont, reported Greenburgh Police Chief Joseph DeCarlo.
Residents are asked to call Con Edison at 1-800-75-CON-ED to alert them of power outages or downed wired. Email is not the correct way to contact them, Con Edison representative said.
