GREENBURGH, N.Y. - A pesky dog alerted a homeowner recently to a possible burglary at 260 Worthington Rd.
The homeowner told Greenburgh police on February 29 at 1 p.m. she was upstairs when her dog began barking insistently. The homeowner went downstairs and noticed a rear sliding glass door unlocked. She locked the door and returned upstairs.
The dog continued to bark so she went back downstairs and observed a broken basement window. Police checked the premises with negative results.

Tinted Windows: On February 27 at 2:26 p.m., members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force observed a 2008 Chevrolet with dark tinted windows traveling east on Tarrytown Rd. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana could be detected emanating from the passenger compartment. A small, clear plastic bag with a glass pipe and marijuana was found. A 23-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and having non-transparent windows.
Upset Customer: A store manager at 391 Tarrytown Road reported on February 29 at 10:09 a.m. that an individual entered the store when it opened at 10 a.m. and started to verbally harass her about the time the store opens. Suspect threatened to fight her and told another store employee to come outside and fight. Suspect asked to leave store and not return.
