Driver Crashes Into Greenburgh Christmas Tree Shop

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Police responded to a report of a car that crashed into the Christmas Tree Shop on Central Avenue.

On March 3 at 11:18 a.m., a 69-year-old Yonkers woman backing out of a parking space in a 2003 Toyota Camry accidentally struck a second vehicle, hopped the curb and struck the front wall of the Christmas Tree Shop.

No injuries were reported and no summonses were issued. 

In other police news:

Theft of Services: A complainant from T.G.I. Fridays reported that a man came into the restaurant on March 2 at 9:05 p.m. highly intoxicated, sat at the bar, ordered approximately $25 worth of food and left without paying. The suspect was located at nearby diner. When told of what he did, he returned to T.G.I. Fridays and paid his bill.

Stolen Credit Card: On March 2 at 12:55 p.m., a caller reported her Chase Disney credit card was taken from her Tarrytown office. She last remembered seeing it on Feb. 14. She received a call from Chase saying someone attempted to purchase $28 in merchandise from CVS in Elmsford but it was declined. Chase bank reported the stolen credit card was used at Frank's Food Court in Elmsford for $6. The woman said she usually keeps the card in her jacket in a community closet inside the office.
