Driver Killed In White Plains Head-On Collision

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A head-on collision involving an off-duty firefighter in White Plains on Monday morning has left one woman dead, according to News 12 Westchester.

The accident occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on South Lexington Ave. near the Galleria Mall when the off-duty firefighter was driving the wrong way and slammed into a vehicle with two people inside who were reportedly delivering papers, News 12 Westchester reported. 

The female victim was pronounced dead on the scene while the firefighter and the second male victim were taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Their status is not known, but both men are expected to recover, News 12 Westchester said.
