Drug Arrests Made Following Car Crash Into House

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Two White Plains residents were charged with cocaine possession after crashing their car into a Greenburgh house early Monday morning, said police.

Driver Jason Sanchez, 28, and passenger James Taylor, 23, allegedly drove their Chrysler into a house on Maintou Trail at approximately 4:40 a.m. Monday. Cocaine was discovered in the vehicle when police arrived on the scene. Upon further investigation, police arrested the two men Monday night.

On Monday morning, the Greenburgh Police Department reported that they responded to a 911 call that a driver lost control of his vehicle and sailed into a nearby house while smacking a vacant car. When police and paramedics arrived, Sanchez and Taylor were removed from the vehicle, treated on scene and transported to Westchester Medical Center.

The damaged house was occupied when the car crashed into it. Police report that no one was injured inside the residence. Members of the town's building department were on scene to assess the house's damage.

Sanchez was issued a citation at the scene for driving with a suspended driver's license. After the police department's investigation, Sanchez and Taylor were charged with drug possession, as cocaine was recovered from the crashed vehicle. Arrest warrants were issued Monday and Sanchez and Taylor were both arrested Monday night.
